    Just a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed Episode 7 and, in fact, all the episodes so far. I love the history and interesting facts about the early days of Photoshop and the people who pioneered digital imaging work. Kudos - keep up the excellent work.

    Geoff - thanks so much for the kind feedback! Katrin was a real sport, and I'm glad you feel it came across well, we were kind of worried that it would be goofy or just not sound right (I'm still working out the kinks of recording intelligible, clean audio with Skype). There's lots more to come, so stay tuned.

    Excellent Podcasts (all of them) and I love the concept. I am also envious of your experiences (from way back when) having only joined the ranks of the Photoshop user when it eventually became available for the PC. (yes,, I am a PC user I’m sad to say !?) so I too enjoy listen to your recollections.

    Your most recent Podcast was most entertaining (and informative) and a pleasing insight into the fun-times both you and Katrin must have experienced back in the days when ½Mb was a lot of anything.

    I myself have been lecturing (small time) on 100% Digital Photography (and therefore Photoshop) since 1996 and have always had on my ‘wish list’ ROTATABLE GUIDELINES’ (as per Corel Draw) and I was wondering what your option on that was !?

    I have, probably like many others, be requesting this feature for many years and wonder if there could be any reason for this NOT to be included in the list of Photoshop options. It seems like such an obvious and necessary addition to me that I just can’t help ‘double-checking’ every now and then just to make sure that it isn’t hidden in there somewhere,, and that I just haven’t found it yet !?

    By the way,, they might listen if YOU mentioned it !!

    Excellent set of podcasts, thought the aperture review was excellent and certainly clears up somethings that were not clear in the marketing blurb. Really liked this interview too!

    You also mentioned the channel chops book and how you might give away a copy? Other than paying silly money for a second hand one when will they be republished if at all? If not what else would you recommend for a primer on channels?

    Take a look at my book "Photoshop Masking & Compositing" to learn about channels, advanced channel based masking, and image calculations. David B reviewed it early and gave it a mouse up review.

    I've got a little question about something that was mentioned by Katrin Eismann:
    How exactly can you turn a RAW image into a smart object, so that you just have to double click on the layer to open up Adobe Camera Raw and make changes?
    I've experimented quite a while, but couldn't figure it out...it would be really cool to get an answer!!
